The Nation of Democratic Dumb-Asses

If you plan to rock up to a polling booth next year to vote in the federal election, thinking you're exercising your democratic responsibility, think again.
Look at any country we've recently invaded with the clear intention of overthrowing their democratically elected governments and it becomes fairly obvious, the ability to vote means diddly-squat.
We're made to live in constant fear of Russia, another fellow democratic nation, with the clear intention of overthrowing Putin in the not so distant future. Again, it's fairly obvious, the ability to vote means diddly-squat.
Australia has been led by two dominating parties for as long as any of us can remember, but their policies are the essentially same, it's only the method that differs. Every year it's the same old story - Australians feel betrayed by their elected representatives.
In a letter to the US government on war and tax, Benjamin Franklin made an astounding remark, he said:
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
This remark gives us pause for thought; in exercising our blind belief that voting actually means something vaguely democratic, what liberties have we sacrificed along the way? What have we failed to defend in our ignorant pursuit for world-leadership and world-domination over democracy?
The Day We Cancelled Our Constitution
Contrary to popular belief, the Australian Constitution has little to do with our rights as commoners. It's the very instrument that defines democracy - that is - it defines the laws our governments must abide by that We The People have set out for THEM and have failed to enforce.
Last year's political attack on Solicitor-General Justin Gleeson, the last known defender of our Constitution, forced him into resignation. He has since warned the government is, indeed, dismantling democracy - most notably the separation of powers between the state and judiciary.
We are now watching this play out in real time:
government ministers are deliberately intervening in cases before the court which amounts to perverting the course of justice
the immigration minister’s total control over Australian deportation laws by removing important oversight mechanisms which protect our democratic liberties
the ability to dismiss inconvenient conditions of the numerous UN treaties that we're a party to
the ability to operate in complete secrecy and the unchallenged use of gag-orders to curtail whistle-blowers
the ability to avoid prosecution by the international court systems
the ability to over-ride our referendums with external legislation
the ability to jail political demonstrators for up to 10 years
the ability to jail medical professionals who fail to enforce government regulations for up to 10 years
the ability to jail children as young as 10 years old indefinitely and to legalise the use of torturing devices/practices on those children
the ability to intervene in sentencing for high-profile child-rapists to less than 6 months and gag the media to protect them
Today, we are witnessing a Senate which is almost 78% Catholic running a Royal Commission on how best to incite homophobic hysteria and prevent marriage equality from ever coming to pass.
Wake up Dumb-Asses!

This has all been happening right under our noses for decades and hardly anyone has noticed. Why? Because we've all been brainwashed into thinking that our 'ability to vote' is what makes us a democratic super power.
That's what matters most to the majority; that we're the top dogs in the pack. Hang the future. Hang the children. So long as we maintain world-domination, that's all that matters.
Ironically, we have become what our government claims Russia to be - the very thing we've been invited to despise most.
Yet, we STILL rock up to the ballot box like the faithful servants of Putin? (No offense to Mr Putin, a man with more brains in one head than Australia and US combined).
Think about it... that's what separates the dumb-asses from The People, the ability to think critically about the present AND the future. Unfortunately, The People are in the minority at the moment!
